Biography

Born May 15, 1975 in the village of Goshev, Ovruch district, Zhytomyr region, in a family of workers.

In 1992 he graduated from Goshevsky secondary school.

On October 4, 1995, he was appointed assistant head of liturgical practice at the Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary.

In 1996 he graduated from the Kiev Theological Seminary and entered the Kiev Theological Academy , which he graduated in 2000.

December 10, 1997 appointed teacher of the Kiev Theological Seminary.

On April 11, 2000, the vice-rector of the Kiev Theological Academy, archimandrite Mitrofan (Yurchuk) was tonsured a monk with the name Nicodemus in honor of the righteous Nicodemus.

On April 15, 2000, Bishop Pavel Vyshgorodsky, Viceroy of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra , was ordained a deacon .

On April 27 of the same year, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir was ordained to the rank of presbyter .

Since September 2000, he was appointed head of the liturgical practice of KDAiS.

By the day of Holy Easter 2001, he was elevated to the rank of abbot .

Since September 2001, he was appointed Assistant Inspector of the KDAiS.

On November 1, 2001, at the Department of Liturgical Theology, he defended his thesis "The Origin and Historical Development of the Divine Liturgy in the Light of Patristic Writing and Theological Literature", having received the degree of candidate of theology.

By the day of Holy Easter 2003 he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite .

Since 2003, a member of the calendar commission at the publishing department of the Kiev Metropolis of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

On March 29, 2007, he was included in the composition of the then Liturgical and Liturgical Commission for writing and editing liturgical texts of services for newly-glorified saints at the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church [1] .

Since July 6, 2007 - Secretary of the Diocese of Belotserkov and Rector of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the city of Bila Tserkva .

In January 2009, he participated in the work of the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church .

On December 23, 2010, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Church, it was determined to be bishop of Rakytnyansky, vicar of the Belotserkovsky diocese. [2]

On December 24 of the same year, an appointment was held in the meeting room of the Ukrainian Synod at the headquarters of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, and on December 25 at the Refectory Church of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Divine Liturgy was ordained. The consecration was performed by Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir (Sabodan), Metropolitan of Ovruch and Korostensky Vissarion (Stretovich) ; Archbishops Belotserkovsky and Boguslavsky Mitrofan (Yurchuk) , Lviv and Galitsky Augustin (Markevich) , Sarnensky and Polessky Anatoly (Gladky) , Vyshgorodsky Pavel (Lebed) , Boryspilsky Anthony (Pakanich) , Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Alexander (Drabinko) ; Bishops of Uman and Zvenigorod Panteleimon (Bashchuk) , Shepetovsky and Slavutsky Vladimir (Melnik) , Nezhinsky and Pryluksky Irenaeus (Semko) , Makarovsky Hilarius (Shishkovsky) , Novokakhovsky and Genic Ioasaph (Guben) and Vasilkovsky Pantoseleimon . On July 20, 2012, he was appointed bishop of Rovenkovsky, vicar of the Lugansk diocese [4] .

January 5, 2013 appointed bishop of Severodonetsk and Starobelsky [5] .

On August 17, 2015, he was elevated to the rank of archbishop .

On August 17, 2019, Metropolitan Onufry (Berezovsky) was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan by Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine [6] .
