The Gentlemen's Agreement of 1907 is an agreement between Japan and the United States that Japan suppresses emigration to the continental United States, with the exception of special cases, and the United States cancels segregation measures against immigrants from Japan who have already settled on their territory and allow them to reunite with their families.
The agreement expired in 1924 [1] .
