The Medal "Armed Forces in the Service of the Motherland" ( Polish. Medal "Siły Zbrojne w Slużbie Ojczyzny" ) is a Polish military award, a medal established by the Parliament of Poland on May 26, 1951, was included in the register of state awards of the Third Republic in 1990.

Regulation
It was intended to reward soldiers of the National Army of Poland and NCO'S for many years of impeccable service.
The medal was awarded to civilians who worked for hire (contract) in the armed forces.
The medal was divided into three degrees - gold, silver and bronze, awarded, respectively, for 15, 10 and 5 years of impeccable service.
In 1960, the Medal Regulations were changed. To award the gold medal, the term of impeccable service began to be 25 years, silver - 15 years. The awarding of the bronze medal was canceled.
In 1968, the Medal Regulations were again revised. For awarding a gold medal, the term of impeccable service was set at 20 years, silver - 10 years. The awarding of a bronze medal for 5 years of impeccable service was restored.
The medal "Armed forces in the service of the Motherland" was worn on the left side of the chest and was located after the medal "For self-sacrifice and courage . "
Description
The gold medal "Armed forces in the service of the motherland" round with a diameter of 34 mm.
On the front side of the medal in its central part is a circle with a diameter of 16 mm (since 1960, the diameter of the shield with an eagle is 15 mm), covered with red enamel. Through the enamel rays are viewed, diverging from the center. The circle is edged with a belt of white enamel. The inscription on the belt: “SILY ZBROJNE W SLUZBIE OJCZYZNY” and a small golden star in the lower part of the belt. In the center of the red enamel circle there is a silver uncrowned eagle.
The composition is surrounded by a gilded wreath of laurel branches with two crossed swords, with their tips pointing upwards. The place of intersection of swords is hidden by the central composition.
In the lower part of the wreath there is a small oval shield, covered with red enamel, with gilded Roman numerals in the middle:
- "XV", "X", "V" - in 1951-1960;
- “XXV”, “XV” - in 1960-1968,
- “XX”, “X”, “V” - in 1968-1990.
The flip side of the medal is smooth matte.
At the top of the medal there is an eyelet with a ring with which it is attached to the tape. The front side of the ring is decorated with ornaments.
The silver and bronze medals "Armed Forces in the Service of the Motherland" are identical to the gold medal with the only difference that enamel-free sections of the 2nd degree medal are silver plated, and the 3rd degree medal was made of bronze.
The eagle on the medals of all three degrees is silver plated.
Ribbon
Ribbon medal silk moire red in color with double strips of white color on the sides of the tape. 35 mm tape width The width of the white stripes is 2 mm each.
1990 Medal
