Career

At the 1952 Olympic Games in Oslo, he won bronze in the relay race, in which he ran the third stage, starting the stage in the 2nd position, he missed forward the representative of the Norwegian national team Martin Stockken in the course of his stage. He was also 13th in the 18 km race, did not participate in the 50 km race.

He performed very successfully at the 1950 World Championship in Lake Placid , where he won medals in all three types of programs, gold in the relay and two silver in 18 and 50 km races.
