Biography
In 1949 he entered the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University , which he graduated in 1954. A student of academician A. Yu. Ishlinsky . In 1954-1957 he studied at the graduate school of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. From 1957 to 1963 he worked at the Instrument Research Institute of the Ministry of Aviation Industry. Candidate of physico-mathematical sciences (1961) [1] , thesis topic "On some properties of oscillations of nonlinear systems"
In 1963 he returned to Moscow State University, associate professor of the Department of Applied Mechanics and Control of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University. In 1965 he headed the Department of Applied Mechanics, Institute of Mechanics, Moscow State University . In 1971 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Physics and Mathematics. In 1978, he was awarded the academic title of Professor in the Department of Applied Mechanics and Control of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University.
In 1981-1986, Deputy Director of the Institute of Mechanics, Moscow State University. In connection with the reorganization of the structure of the Institute of Mechanics, in 1986 he headed the laboratory of general mechanics of the Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University. Laureate of the State Prize (1976, with D. M. Klimov , I. V. Novozhilov ) for his work in the field of mechanics on special topics.
In 1994, he was elected a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He was awarded medals named after P.L. Kapitsa and named after Peter I of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
Research interests: management theory; theory of inertial navigation systems; robotic systems with elements of artificial intelligence. He is the creator of courses in the theory of gyroscopes, the theory of inertial navigation systems, and the mechanics of robotic systems, which he taught at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University.
Published over 100 scientific papers.
He prepared 20 candidates of physical and mathematical sciences and three doctors of sciences.
