Biography
He graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Music in 1971 as an organist, in 1974 as a composer. Having started his concert activity while still a student, Moryto performed a lot both in Poland and in other European countries. He made a number of organ music recordings for Polish and German radio.
Musical works of Stanislav Moryto were performed in many countries of the world. As a composer, he repeatedly became a laureate of competitions (1975, 1978, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987). In addition, he was awarded several awards by several Polish music organizations.
From 1973 to 1981, Stanislav Moryto was president of the Polish Association of Young Musicians, from 1981 to 1997 - president of the Polish Music Institute. He is the founder and leader of the festival of organ music in Legnica . From 1996 to 2000, Moryto served as vice-rector of the Chopin Warsaw Academy of Music , from 2002 to 2005 he served as dean of the faculty of composition, conducting and music theory. Since 2005, Stanislav Moryto is the rector of this educational institution. He also taught at the Warsaw School of Music named after Jozef Elsner .
