Pavel Leonidovich Ipatov (born April 12, 1950 , the village of Asbestovsky , Sverdlovsk Region ) is a Russian statesman. Governor of the Saratov region from April 5, 2005 to March 23, 2012 .

Biography

From 1965 to 1969 he studied at the Ural Polytechnic College of the city ​​of Sverdlovsk .

In 1975 he graduated from the Energy Department of the Ural Polytechnic Institute (qualification “Electrical Engineer”, specialty “Power Plants”). In 1991 he graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR (department "Management", qualification "leading specialist in management").

After graduating from the Polytechnic, he worked at the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant in Kuzbass as the shift supervisor of the electric shop. Later he worked at the Slavyanskaya TPP and Uglegorskaya TPP. In 1980 - 1984, he worked at the construction of the South Ukrainian NPP as the shift supervisor. In August 1985 became the chief engineer of the Balakovo NPP . Since June 1989 - Director of the Balakovo NPP. Since 2002, he was simultaneously the Deputy General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern .

From 1996 to 2005, he was a deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Balakovo Municipal Formation of the first and second convocations. Member of the regional political council of the party " United Russia ".

On March 3, 2005, deputies of the Saratov Regional Duma unanimously supported Ipatov’s candidacy, proposed by the President of the Russian Federation for the post of governor of the Saratov Region. The inauguration ceremony of Pavel Ipatov as the head of the Saratov region took place on April 5, 2005.

On March 23, 2010, deputies of the Saratov Regional Duma decided to grant Ipatov the powers of the Governor of the Saratov Region for a second term [1] . April 5, 2010 Pavel Ipatov officially took office.

March 23, 2012 by decree of the President of the Russian Federation dismissed with the wording "of his own free will" [2] .
