Thallium triiodide forms black-brown crystals of rhombic syngony , space group P nma , cell parameters a = 1.0599 nm, b = 0.6419 nm, c = 0.9436 nm, Z = 4 [1] .
Sparingly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol and ether .
