First Aid Kit (translated from English - first aid kit ) - Swedish folk duet of the sisters Johanna (b. 1990) and Clara (b. 1993) Soderberg. They grew up in Ensked, a district in the south of Stockholm , and began composing songs in 2007 as teenagers. In 2008, thanks to a video uploaded to YouTube in which they sang “ Fleet Foxes ' Tiger Mountain Peasant Song”, their name quickly spread on the Internet, and the sisters soon performed this song with its authors at a concert in Holland ^[1] .

History

Having started recording in 2007, the sisters sent the demo track “Tangerine” to the Swedish radio station, which began to play it in the summer ^[2] . Later that year, the duo signed a contract with Rabid Records, co-owned by The Knife . Their debut mini-album Drunken Trees was released in 2008 in Sweden. A year later, the London label Wichita reissued it, supplementing the track list with a cover version of "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" and video accompaniments for three songs played live in the Swedish forest ^[2] .

In 2010, the first studio album, The Big Black & the Blue , was released, followed by a large concert tour (about 100 performances) in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and some European countries. First Aid Kit released The Lion's Roar's second album in 2012. In the band’s homeland, he debuted in first place in the charts. ^[3]

The song "The Lion's Roar" plays in the game The Long Dark at the beginning of the narrative of episode 2 of the campaign.
