Gornorechensky is located about 2 km east of the regional center of Kavalerovo , with which the Osinovka-Rudnaya Pristan highway is connected, the P447 highway connects it with the village. Olga , near the village flows the Vysokogorskaya River , not far from Gornorechensky, flowing into the Zerkalnaya River.

History

Gornorechensk owes its appearance and further existence to the Khrustalnensky mining and processing plant. In the first years of the village’s existence, a power station was built in it, and a subsidiary farm was located. There was also a pioneer camp. After the collapse of the main enterprise of the district - KhGOK - life in the village gradually began to fade.

The status of an urban-type settlement was obtained in 1979 [2] .

The main enterprises of the village are timber industry enterprises. In the village there is a comprehensive school, an orphanage. In Gornorechensk, there are two archeological monuments of the Bohai culture (698–926), and one, 3 km from it, the Gornorechensk settlements .
