Ascocorticia ( Latin Ascocorticiaceae ) is a poorly studied family of fungi that is included in the order of Helotiales of the class Leotiomycetes . Includes one genus Ascocorticium and two species.

Description
- They do not form strom. Fruit bodies are small convex apothecia growing in frequent groups. Painted in whitish or pinkish tones. Gifs are wrong, turning into each other.
- Disputes are small, oblong, unsepted.
- Representatives of the family are saprotrophs growing on the dead bark of coniferous trees. Widely distributed in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere.
Anamorphs in Ascocorticiaceae are unknown.
