Mansour Ibrahim Dau (sometimes spelled Dow or Dau, date of birth unknown) is a former ex-chief of the internal security service, a general, a former Libyan politician. He was a prominent figure in the government of Gaddafi, was the head of the personal guard of Muammar Gaddafi until the death of Gaddafi .
War
Dow was one of Gaddafi's closest associates and remained with him until the very end. After the battle of Tripoli, he fled with Gaddafi and Abu Bakr Younis Jaber to Sirte . On October 20, 2011, Dau was captured in Sirte shortly before the assassination of Gaddafi. He was injured after NATO aircraft destroyed a convoy in which he himself and Gaddafi tried to get out of Sirte, and he was taken into custody by militants from Misurata. Two days later, Dow gave an interview about the last days of Gaddafi, in which he said that he had been in Sirte since the end of August, like Gaddafi. He also spoke about the living conditions of the Libyan leader in Sirte and his thoughts. According to Daw, Gaddafi has realized everything in recent days, analyzed his life and perfectly understood his fate. Dow also said that his jailers treated him well. Dow also denies breaking up opposition demonstrations at the dawn of the war.
