History

In 1985, the Yamaltransstroy construction and assembly association was founded with the goal of building railways in the far north of Western Siberia .

In 1986, construction began on the Obskaya - Bovanenkovo ​​railway line with a length of 509 km to the gas condensate field at Cape Kharasavey. The road passes completely beyond the Arctic Circle in the conditions of permafrost ; it is one of the most difficult railway lines in terms of geological, climatic and natural conditions.

In 1992, the company was incorporated.

In 2009, the company completed the construction of a 4-kilometer bridge over the Yuribey River (334 km of highway) - one of the most difficult engineering facilities in the Arctic [1] .

By 2010-2011, the highway was almost completed, and the company's revenue fell by half, falling to 9.4 billion rubles. in 2010 [2] .

Owners and management

In 1992, Vladimir Nak, the head of the industrial construction and assembly association, was elected Director General of the PSMO Yamaltransstroy. In April 1997, his son Igor Nak became the general director of OJSC "Yamaltransstroy".

As of the end of 2011, about 82% of the company is controlled by Igor Nak’s structures, negotiations were underway on the sale of Nak’s stake to Stroygazconsulting Ziyad Manasir [2] .
