Biography

Boris Asadchikh was born on March 10, 1923 in the city of Lgov, Kursk Region, in a family of an employee. Received secondary education . In 1940, Asadchikh was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1942 he graduated from the military aviation school of pilots in the city of Engels . Since July 1942 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By April 1945, the guard Captain Asadchikh was the squadron commander of the 136th Guards Assault Air Regiment ( 1st Guards Assault Air Division , 1st Air Army , 3rd Belorussian Front ). Over the years of the war, Asadchikh made 166 sorties, participated in the attack of defensive structures, airfields , manpower and equipment of German troops. Particularly distinguished during the assault on Koenigsberg and during the East Prussian operation [1] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 29, 1945, Captain Boris Asadchikh was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .

After the war, Asadchikh continued his service in the Soviet Army . In 1952, he graduated from the Air Force Academy. In the same year he joined the CPSU (b) . In 1961, with the rank of Colonel Asadchikh, he was transferred to the reserve. He lived in Moscow , worked at an engineering plant [1] . He died on April 21, 1992 .

Rewards

He was also awarded the Order of Lenin , two orders of the Red Banner , the order of Alexander Nevsky , two orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the Order of the Red Star , a number of medals [1] .
