“A Pillow of Winds” ( Russian: Bed of Winds ) is a song by Pink Floyd from the album Meddle ( 1971 ). Presented on the first side of the LP second track [1] [2] [3] . “A Pillow of Winds” was never performed at the band’s concerts in the same way as “ Fearless ” and “ San Tropez ” from the album Meddle [4] .

According to Nick Mason , the name of the song “A Pillow of Winds” is connected with the enthusiasm of the band’s musicians for playing mahjong [5] . The music was written by David Gilmore and Roger Waters [6] , the author of the text is Roger Waters [~ 1] . The vocals belong to David Gilmour, who also performed all the guitar parts in this composition (on an acoustic guitar and slide guitar ). Together, the song is linked by the background part of the organ played by Richard Wright [7] .
