Tieta Hydroelectric Power Station Cascade - a cascade of hydroelectric power plants on the left tributary of the Parana , the Tieta River in Brazil . Located in the state of Sao Paulo .
For 2012, it includes twelve power plants that are designed to reduce floods on the river, generate electricity and to ensure the conditions of navigation in the lower and middle reaches of the Tiete River, as well as to ensure the passage of vessels through the Pereira-Barretu Canal from the upper to the lower part of the Parana Basin . Cascade dams are not equipped with fishing facilities.
