Biocenometry

Biocenometry is a branch of biocenology that studies methods for studying biocenoses and ecosystems (multidimensional statistics, analysis of distribution of individuals, modeling, etc.) [1] . The term was proposed in 1969 by the Estonian geobotanist [2] .

Benchmarking Methods

The method of comparative analysis of the components of biosystems is based on the concept of similarity and difference. A quantitative measure of similarity is the coefficient of similarity (measure, index), and a quantitative measure of difference is the coefficient of difference (or distance), respectively. Relations between objects can be expressed graphically using graphs ( oriented and non-oriented ), dendrograms , etc.
