About the project
One of the first major achievements of that period was the victory in the tournament Hitachi Extreme Championship Belgrade 2004 .
In 2005, the project was suspended, but in February 2011, Dmitry “ ddd1ms ” Brave brought the project back to life, the M5 returned to the eSports arena.
The project pursues such tasks as: the creation and development of Internet leagues in eSports, for its appropriate development. And also seeks to bring the Russian team to the world level.
In 2011, the men's Counter-Strike 1.6 team won the WCG World Cup bronze medal. Which in turn is a great achievement for the domestic eSports, since apart from the “bronze” Virtus.pro at ESWC 2004, the first place at ACON 5 and the victory of m19 at WCG 2002, the Russian teams at the world championships did not have medals. [one]
At present, the project has suspended its activities due to the detention of Dmitry Smely.
Now there are no professional players in the project.
The owner of the organization was detained for the largest hacker scam in US history [2] [3] .

On August 13, 2012 , the Counter-Strike 1.6 division was closed. [14] The comment of the project manager:
“Counter-Strike roster is where it all began. These players have become the foundation of the organization, which is now considered the most famous team in Russia. I doubt that the League of Legends and DotA2 lineups now performing under the M5.BenQ tag could exist if there were no Counter-Strike teams.
Together with these players, our organization has come a long way and this road was by no means an easy walk. The difficulties that we have overcome together, the awards won by the players, the opportunities gained through teamwork - this is what the Counter-Strike team did to make the Moscow Five one of the best organizations in the world of computer sports. I am grateful to the guys for the work they have done and I believe that they will be able to find themselves in life. ”
- Konstantin " groove " Pikiner [15]

League of Legends at IEM Hannover 2012
The team won first place never defeated in any round or match. M5 left the group with a score of 5-0, “dry” passed the semifinal [83] and “dry” won the final. [84]
The team showed a well-coordinated game and the ability to "pull out" any losing match. For example, conceding at the beginning of the match the Curse team in the number of murders with a score of 1-9, they successfully achieved victory. [85]
The team struck commentators, spectators and opponents using unusual and non-standard tactics. In the match against the Chinese team EHOME, tactics, first used at IEM Kiev, were resurrected, replacing the top and bottom line champions, which led to a crushing victory. [86] In the first round of the final match, the M5 also used a new tactic against Dignitas - a “solo” bottom line and two foresters, which made it possible to completely control the entire map and confidently win with a score of 32-11 by the number of murders. [84]

In November, the M5 team reached the final of the III season of Starseries for LoL and took 4th place, winning $ 2,500 [89] . In January 2015, the M5 team reached the grand final of the Star Series IV season in Kiev and took 2nd place [90] ; in April of the same year, the team repeated its result in the Star Series grand final in Minsk [91] .
