Biography
In 1953 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Leningrad State University .
Since 1955 he worked as his own correspondent for the Izvestia newspaper.
In 1978-1988 - First Deputy Chief Editor of the newspaper " Soviet Culture ".
Since 1988, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Committee for Publications , at the same time he held the position of First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Izvestia newspaper.
In 1991-2002 was chairman of the board of the Russian Peace Fund
He was married to People's Artist of the USSR Klara Luchko (1925-2005).
The funeral service was held on February 4, 2012 in the Church of Peter and Paul. He was buried at the Don cemetery in Moscow [1] .
