“ Positivity ” is the first single from Suede 's A New Morning album, released on September 16, 2002 via Columbia Records . The single represents a departure from the inherent style of the previous two albums and has a more acoustic and warm sound. Despite the departure from the channel of previous songs by Suede, “Positivity” reached 16th place in the charts of Great Britain and the first in Denmark [1] [2] . Various producers worked on the single: Positivity was produced by John Lecky ; One Love, Superstar and Colors by Stephen Street , Simon by Suede and Ken Thomas themselves, Cheap by Suede and Dick Mini , and Campfire Song by Suede and Alex Silva.

The song was severely criticized by fans and the music press. Anderson later said: “When I just wrote it, it seemed to me that this was a masterpiece, but later I realized that she simply offended many” [3] . One of the NME reporters felt that the group had played its own and hinted that they would better break up, saying: “For heaven’s sake, guys, you still have fans. Leave the stage without noise, and they will remain faithful to you ” [4] .
The title track video was directed by Julian Gibbs .
