At the 1956 Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, she won bronze in the 3x5 km relay race, in which she ran the second stage, accepted and completed her stage in 4th place, but at the last stage Sonya Edström brought Sweden to third place. In a personal 10 km race, Ericsson took 13th place.

At the 1954 World Cup, she won the bronze medal in the relay.
