The national selection of Ukraine for the Eurovision song contest 2012 - was the tenth selection of Ukraine for the Eurovision song contest, it was held on February 18, 2012 in the building of the National Television and Radio Company of Ukraine (NTKU) located in Kiev .

Timeline
- On August 23, 2011, information appeared on esctoday.com that Ukraine allegedly confirmed its participation in the contest, and the national selection will be held as part of the Inter Show TV show No. 1 project. Subsequently, in early October, in an interview with the Telekritika website, representatives of the NTU said that the definition of the representative of Ukraine at Eurovision 2012 will not be connected in any way with Show No. 1 of Inter TV channel.
- November 25, 2011 NTCU officially started accepting applications for participation in the selection. The national selection for the competition will be held in the format of open selection (televoting).
- On January 20, 2012, NTCU announced that on January 23 the acceptance of applications for participation in the national selection of Ukraine will be completed and on January 25 the jury will select 19 participants in the final of the national selection. The 20th participant of the final of the national selection will be the winners of the “Show No. 1” project of the Inter TV channel - “Unreal Boys”, provided that they are registered before January 23, 2012.
- On January 25, 2012, the national television and radio company of Ukraine selected 20 finalists of the national selection at the castings, which took place in the NTKU building. The jury of the selection semifinal included: Victoria Romanova (chairman of the Ukrainian delegation at Eurovision contests), Vlad Baginsky (music producer of NTKU), Vladimir Kozlov (representative of the music channel Ru-Music ) and singer Ivo Bobul.
Selection Format
- From November 25, 2011 to January 23, 2012, applications for participation in the national selection were accepted.
- On January 25, 2012, the semi-final was held. Initially, the jury was going to select 19 finalists of the national selection, to which it was planned to add the winner of the Show No. 1 project of Inter TV channel (20th finalist) and the winner of Internet voting on the Say.tv platform (21st finalist). But at the last moment, NTU decided to add another finalist, and their number increased to 22.
- The final of the national selection was held on February 18, 2012 .
