The Church of the Holy Mother of God ( Armenian Սորբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցի ) is a church of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the village of Movsesgyuh, Tavush region of Armenia . Included in the jurisdiction of the Tavush Diocese of the AAC .

History
The new Church of the Holy Virgin was built next to the old one, which was destroyed in 1937 . From her left only the northern and eastern walls. In 2005, the construction of a new church began, initiated by the Armenian entrepreneur from Moscow Vazgen Vanesyan born in Movsesgyuh.
Church Sanctification
On August 7, 2011, a solemn event on the consecration of the church was held, in which the State Academic Choir of Armenia headed by the People’s Artist of the USSR Hovhannes Chekidjian participated, as well as the Berd dance group and famous singer Anna Mnatsakanyan [1] :
On August 8, baptism was also committed to residents of the village, who declared their desire [1] . Also, many couples specially postponed their wedding day to spend it in a new church [1] :
The pastor of the region, Priest Aram Mirzoyan, stated in connection with the opening of the church [2] :
It inspires hope that the flow of people willing to visit the church does not stop. Particularly worthy of praise is that people come with their families.

In 2010, during the transfer of the church (which was already ready by that time, but not officially opened), Echmiadzin was fired at the village from the Azerbaijani side. [1] ։
