Career
Club
Melinte began his football career at home in the club Fortuna from the city of Kovachi . A few months later he joined the Auxerre from Lugoj . In 2006, the UTA team, serving in the top division of Romania , offered the player a professional contract. In the 2006/07 season, Christian spent 3 matches in the national championship, the next season he was rented by the Ineu club, representing the Third League. In the lease Melinte played only 7 matches, and after returning back to the beginning of 2008, he took part in 5 games with UTA.
At the end of 2008, the Romanian defender was watching in the French “ Monaco ”, but the contract with the club was not signed [2] . In March 2009, Melinte, as a free agent, transferred to Dynamo Bucharest . Having played only one official match for this club in the Romanian championship, the footballer was sent to the second team (Dynamo-2), where he took part in 9 games.
On August 18, 2009, Christian Melinte signed a four-year contract with the Italian Palermo [3] . Prior to that, he, along with the first squad of the Sicilian club, was at training camp. On October 29, 2009, the Romanian made his debut in Serie A in a meeting with Internazionale . He also took part in the cup match with Regina , which ended with the score 4: 1 in favor of Palermo [4] . In February 2010, the player was leased to the Piacenza club, which performed in Serie B. Until the end of the 2009/10 season, Melinte spent 16 matches in the red and white team, entering the field in the main team [5] . Returning to Palermo, the Romanian player in the 2010/11 season did not participate in any official meeting.
In August 2011, Christian was rented by the Romanian Petrolul .
International
Melinte made his debut in the youth team of Romania on November 17, 2009 in a meeting with the Poles [6] .
