Biography
Born on January 6, 1816 in the noble family of Gideonovs . Educated at the First Moscow Cadet Corps.
Since 1835 he left the ensign in the Volyn Life Guards Regiment . In 1836 he was promoted to lieutenant .
From 1838 he entered the Academy of the General Staff . In 1839, promoted to lieutenant .
In 1841, after graduating from the Academy, he was counted among the General Staff .
In April 19, 1842, he was promoted to headquarters with transfer to the General Staff. On November 1 of the same year, he was promoted to captain of the General Staff.
In 1849 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel . From 1850 he was appointed adjunct professor at the Imperial Academy of the General Staff , and at the same time from 1851 an inspector of the classes of the Second Cadet Corps.
In 1853 he was promoted to colonel . From 1854 he was appointed Chairman of the Land Survey Office with a transfer to the Land Survey Office.
In 1857, he was promoted to major general , appointed a member of the Military Training Committee, assistant director of the Land Survey Building and at the same time since 1858 was a member of the Council of the Minister of State Property .
From 1862 he was appointed director of the Mezhevoy Corps . In 1864, promoted to lieutenant general . From 1864 he was a fellow of the chairman of the Red Cross Society.
In 1865 he was appointed as a senator in the Senate Surveillance Department.
From 1876 he was an assistant to the chief trustee of the Imperial philanthropic society .
In 1882 he was promoted to infantry generals . Since 1883, he was a member of the Award Commission under his own E. I. V. Office .
From 1886 he became the senator of the General Assembly of the Judicial and Land Survey Departments of the Senate.
From 1887 he became a full member of the Imperial Human-Loving Society, and at the same time since 1892 a member of the Committee to consider submissions to the Highest Awards.
In 1902 he was awarded the highest order of the Russian Empire with the Order of St. Andrew the First Called .
He died on January 20, 1907 in St. Petersburg from lobar pneumonia. He was buried on January 23, 1907 in the Resurrection Novodevichy Convent. He was married, had a daughter.
