Alekseev's city manor

  architectural monument (regional)

The embassy is located in the main house of the Alekseevs urban estate, built in the 1st third of the XIX century . The house was rebuilt in 1870 and in the 1890s (architect I. P. Zalessky ).

In the 1850s and the early 1860s, the estate was owned by Professor S.I. Barshev , the dean of the law faculty of Moscow State University in 1847-1863. Scientists from Moscow University often visited the mansion. Since the end of the 1890s, the Moscow Society of Amateur Cyclists was located in the house, one of the founders of which was engineer V. G. Shukhov [1] . Until the second half of the 1910s, the ownership belonged to Alekseev. In the 1920s, the 1st Experimental Station of the Main Training Board of the People's Commissariat of Education was located here. During these years, one of the apartments of the house was occupied by the People’s Artist of the USSR , twice the winner of the Stalin Prize, FV Shevchenko .

In 2004, the city estate of the Alekseevs as part of the main house and residential outhouse was taken under state protection [2] . Both buildings are cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
