Content

History

It was founded during the period of collectivization as a farm number 1 sheep of the state farm number 2 Iki-Manlansky village council of Sarpinsky, since 1938 - Maloderbetovsky ulus Kalmyk ASSR [2] .

On December 28, 1943, the Kalmyk population was deported, the village, as well as other settlements of the Maloderbetovsky ulus of the Kalmyk ASSR, was transferred to the Stalingrad region .

The Kalmyk population began to return after the lifting of restrictions on movement in 1956 [3] . The village was returned to the newly formed Kalmyk Autonomous Region in 1957 . The village was the farm number 1 of the farm "Big Tsaryn" Maloderbetovsky district of the Kalmyk ASSR [2] .

In 1977, in connection with the formation of the Oktyabrsky District, the village of Mirny became the administrative center of the Bolshoi Tsaryn state farm of the Oktyabrsky District. In 1979, the Mirnensky Village Council of People's Deputies was formed [2] .

Physico-geographical characteristics

The village is located within the Volga-Sarpinsky plain , which is part of the Sarpinsky lowland , which in turn is the north-western part of the Caspian lowland ), at an altitude of about 10 meters above sea level. The terrain is flat, complicated by tubercles, depressions and other forms of micro- and mesorelief. In the eastern part of the village there is a pond replenished with water supplied through one of the channels of the Sarpinsky irrigation and watering system [4] . The soil cover is complex: solonetzes (automorphic) and brown solonetzic soils are common [5]

By road, the distance to the capital of Kalmykia, the city of Elista, is 260 km, to the district center of the village of Bolshoi Tsaryn - 12 km [6] .

Climate

The climate is temperate sharply continental (according to the Köppen – Bsk classification of climates ), with hot and arid summers and relatively cold and little snowy winters. The average annual air temperature is + 9.0 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month of January is 7.0 ° C, the hottest month of July + 24.9 ° C. Estimated long-term rainfall is 308 mm. During the year, the amount of precipitation is distributed relatively evenly: the least amount of precipitation falls in March-April (19 mm each), the largest - in June (33 mm) [7]
