Biography
Louis Sekretan was born on September 5, 1758 in the city of Lausanne in Switzerland. In 1780, he graduated from the University of Tübingen with a doctorate in law. In 1798-1799 and 1826-1827, the Secret was president of several cantons of Switzerland. Sekretan also worked as a lawyer, was a lawyer for Anna de Stael , Benjamin Constan and Jacques Necker . The secretary took part in the formation of the canton of Vaud in 1803 . In 1831, Louis Secret was appointed president of the court of appeal . In 1833, three volumes of the Secretan book, Mycographie suisse , were published. The names of the mushrooms published in this book are not considered valid, since the Secretan did not adhere to the rules for naming botanical taxa - more than half of the described species had trinomial names instead of binomial ones. Louis Sekretan died on May 24, 1839 in Lausanne.
