Geology
The Ore Altai includes the Ubinsky , Kolyvansky , Kalbinsky ranges , as well as the spurs of the Tigiretsky , Ivanovsky , Ulba ranges and Kholzun . The prevailing heights are 1200-2000 m. To the west, the heights gradually decrease, and the Ore Altai takes on the character of a low mountain.
Minerals
The main minerals of the region’s polymetallic ores include pyrite , sphalerite , galena and chalcopyrite ; faded ores, native silver and gold [2] , tellurides are of subordinate importance. The main vein minerals are quartz , chlorite , sericite , barite and carbonates .
The most significant polymetallic deposits of the Ore Altai form two bands, gravitating to the crushing zones of the north-western direction. In the Irtysh zone of crushing , copper - lead - zinc ores prevail (Oryol, Zolotushinskoye, Nikolaevskoye, Belousovskoye , Beryozovskoye deposits); in the North-East zone, mainly lead-zinc ores (Rubtsovskoye, Stepnoye, Talovskoye, Srednyaya, Zarechenskoye, Korbolikhinskoye, Strizhkovskoye, Guslyakovskoye, Leninogorskoye, Tishinskoye, Zyryanovskoye and others).
