Savinja ( Slovenian. Savinja ) is a river in Slovenia , the left tributary of the Sava . It originates from the Rinka Falls, in the Logar Valley , near the border with Austria. It flows through the cities of Cele and Lashko , flows into the Sava at the village of Zidani Most . The length of the river is 102 km [1] .

It accepts several tributaries, the most significant of which are: Archer, Lubnitsa, Dreta, Paka, Lozhnitsa, Voglain and Khudinya. Floods are quite frequent.
