Temirgoye is a village in the Kumtorkalinsky district of Dagestan . Translated from the Kumyk language, “Temir guee” - “Anvil”.

The municipality is formed by the village of Temirgoy with the status of a rural settlement as the only settlement in its composition ^[2] .

Geographical position

Located 33 km northwest of the city of Makhachkala , on the railway line of the North Caucasus Railway .

History

The village was formed on the site of Temirgoye station of the Vladikavkaz railway. In 1919, members of the Dagestan Bolshevik underground, led by Ullub Buinaksky, were shot by White Guards near the station.
