Gnaeus Claudius North Arabian ( lat. Gnaeus Claudius Severus Arabianus ) is a Roman politician.

Arabian came from a family of Pontic Greeks living in the city of Pompeiopolis. His father was Consul-effect and the first governor of Rocky Arabia, Guy Claudius Sever .
When Arabian came to Rome during the reign of the Roman emperor Hadrian , he became a philosophical mentor and teacher of immigrants from noble families. Among his students was the future Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius , with whom the North became very friendly. Subsequently, Aurelius warmly responded to the North in his work “ To Myself ” [1] . North was a follower of the Lycean school . In 146 he was appointed consul. His colleague was Sextus Erutius Clar . Son of the North Gneya Claudius North was married to the daughter of Marcus Aurelius.
