Geography
Lagan GMO borders on the north with the Krasinsky SMO , in the north-west with the Dzhalykovsky SMO , in the west with the Ulanholsky SMO , in the south and east with the Northern SMO , in the south-west with the Republic of Dagestan , in the east it extends to the coast of the Caspian Sea .
The total area within the administrative boundaries of the Lagansk city municipality is 152110 hectares, of which agricultural land - 140108 hectares, land of settlements - 9138 hectares, lands of industry, energy, transport - 209 hectares, specially protected territories - 100 hectares, forest fund - 292 hectares , lands of the water fund - 72 hectares, lands of the reserve - 2191 hectares [2]
