Biography

Fedor Yakovlevich Spakhov was born on December 25, 1922 in the village of Nikolaevka (now - Anninsky District, Voronezh Region ) into a peasant family. After finishing five classes he worked at the Voronezh Locomotive Repair Plant as a mechanic. He joined the Red Army in 1941. After joining, he was sent to study at the Gorky Tank School , where he did work in the disciplines. Since December 1942 - in the army.

He was the company commander of the 13th Guards Tank Brigade of the 4th Guards Tank Corps . Spakhov participated in the battles for the liberation of Kantemirovka , in the battles near the Donbas and Yasenovtsy. For the seizure and retention of the bridge over the River Vislok , Konev was presented to the title Hero of the Soviet Union . Had injured.
