Biography
Born in Constantinople , he graduated from the Lyceum in Galatasaray and the Sorbonne . He was at diplomatic work - adviser to the embassy in London (1923), envoy in Belgrade (1925), ambassador to Kabul (1928). He was elected as a deputy of the Turkish Majlis of the 4-7th, 10-11th convocations. In the government, I. Inyonu served as Minister of Education from 1933 to 1934. From 1945 - Professor at Ankara University . Since 1946 - Member of the Democratic Party of Turkey . In 1948, as a result of a conflict with the leadership of the Democratic Party, together with a number of like-minded people, he quit and became one of the organizers of the National Party , which he headed until 1950.
