Uri Maklev ( Hebrew אורי מקלב ; Israel Meir Uri Maklev - Hebrew ישראל מאיר אורי מקלב ; born 10 January 1957, Bnei Brak , Israel ) - Israeli politician, member of the Knesset ( 17 and 18 convocations ) from the party " Yahadut ha-Torah " ( Degel ha-Torah ).

Biography
Uri Maklev was born on January 10, 1957 in Bnei Brak . He studied at Yeshiva “The Voice of the Torah ” and “Ponevezh”. He has a higher religious education, has the title of rabbi and the right to work as a religious judge . Maklev is married, has five children, speaks Hebrew and Yiddish , and lives in Jerusalem .
On July 31, 2008, he became a member of the Knesset, from the Yahadut Ha-Torah faction ( Degel Ha-Torah ). In the 17th Knesset, Maklev was a member of several commissions, including the Commission on Economics, the Commission on Science and Technology, the Commission on Foreign Workers and the Commission on Appeals of Citizens.
In the Knesset of the 18th convocation, he held the post of chairman of the commission on citizens' appeals , and later ceded this position to David Azulay . Member of the Commission on Foreign Affairs and Security, the Commission on Internal Affairs and Environmental Protection and the Legislative Commission.
On June 24, 2010, members of the Knesset, Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev, were attacked by members of the radical Jewish group Neturey Kart , who began stoning parliamentarians for "collaborating with the Zionist regime" [1] .
