The Raveonettes is a Danish rock band formed in 2001 in Copenhagen , consisting of Sune Rose Wagner and Sherin Fu. Their music is inspired by the two-vocal harmony of The Everly Brothers , coupled with heavy electric guitars and a bit of noise a la The Jesus and Mary Chain . Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of 1950-60 rock with pronounced electronic instrumentation, a beating bit and dark lyrics affecting such topics as crime, drugs, murders / suicides, love, passion and betrayal, in which The Raveonettes are similar The Velvet Underground band that influenced them.
