Biography

Vision's first appearance on the cover of The Avengers No. 57

Vision was created by the evil robot Ultron to fight with its creators Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne , who are members of the Avengers . The basis for Vision was the remains of the original Human Torch, an Android superhero from the 1940s. The living machine was programmed by neural processors with a model of a brain charged with ions of the Wonder Man superhero, and Vision was implanted with control crystals to keep him in obedience.

Ultron sent Vision against the Avengers, and this was during his first meeting with the superheroine Wasp , who coined the name Synthesoid . Driven by the Avengers, Vision betrayed his program and helped the superhero team defeat his prudent creator.

Vision served with the Avengers for several years, standing with his teammates against the enemies. The android has a romantic relationship with the heroine Scarlet Witch , which has turned into true love and marriage. The newlyweds left the Avengers Mansion to live a quiet life in New Jersey .

The failure of the control crystals began to interfere with Vision's ability to reason and he began to strive to create a new golden age on Earth, taking control of computers and defense systems of the world. Ultimately, Vision returned to form, breaking his connections to the planet's data banks and extracting control crystals from the mechanized mind. In the wake of the crisis, the peoples of the Earth began to regard it as a high level of security threat. Government operatives kidnapped and dismantled Vision, erasing his memory. Scarlet Witch and Avengers returned the components of their teammate, and Hank Pim restored and reprogrammed the android. The scientist uploaded files from the Avengers computer to the neural processors of the synthesoid, but Wonder Man refused to give new elements to his brain. Thus, Vision returned to existence without human emotions, not even able to remember his love for his wife.

Over time, Vision was loaded with a new set of brain models and it regains the ability to feel. Although he remembers his time with the Scarlet Witch, he decided not to try to put up with her. Wanting to experience human emotions in full, the synthesoid made efforts to study aspects of his personality separately from those that Pim programmed for him.

When the Scarlet Witch lost control of her powers and went crazy, killing many of the Avengers, Vision was torn apart by an enraged Hulk Woman . It was not repairable and therefore was placed in storage.

Vision was rebuilt by the young superhero Iron Man, who sought to unite the Avengers team to help him defeat Kang, for which he downloaded Vision programs into his armor. When Iron Man left the armor in an attempt to escape from Kang, Vision again came to life and took control of the armor.

Strengths and Abilities

The sun stone on Vision's forehead absorbs the surrounding solar energy to provide the necessary power for its functions, and it is also able to release this energy in the form of optical beams, due to which it can shoot with infrared and microwave beams. In an extreme case, he can fulfill the same ability through his stone, which significantly enhances the destructive consequences, although at the cost of a greater loss of his resources.

Vision also has the ability to manipulate the density of his body, which at the lowest level allows him to fly and phase through objects, and at the highest level provides him with superhuman strength and hardness.

Being a robot, it has the ability to interact with computers and information networks. Also has superhuman intelligence, reflexes and feelings. It is capable of self-repair and restoration.
