Biography

He studied at a rural school, from grade 4 - at a boarding school; in 1967 he graduated from school number 5 in the city of Frunze . In the same year, at the insistence of his parents, he entered the Frunze Polytechnic Institute, but, not having studied for half a year, left him. In 1968 he entered the directing department of the Leningrad Institute of Culture. N.K. Krupskaya . After graduation, he served in the Soviet Army .

In 1974 he returned to Kyrgyzstan, worked in the national theaters of the republic. In 1976-1981 studied at the State Institute of Theater Arts. A. V. Lunacharsky at M. O. Knebel , a student of K. S. Stanislavsky , and graduated with a degree in “director of professional theaters”.

In 1981, he was appointed chief director of the Naryn Music and Drama Theater. He staged performances based on the works of F. M. Dostoevsky , U. Shakespeare , Ch. Aitmatov and others. The high level of theatrical productions is evidenced by numerous invitations to all-Union theater festivals, the festival of youth performances (Tbilisi, 1985; with the production of “Early Cranes” by Ch. Aitmatov); creative report in Moscow (1987) at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR.

He staged performances in other theaters in Kyrgyzstan:

  • in the Issykkul Drama Theater ("Azhar", according to the story of K. Bayalinov);
  • at the Kyrgyz State Academic Drama Theater ("Munabia"; 1988).

In the early 1990s, he moved to Bishkek. He led the Kyrgyz State Youth Theater, then became the director and chief director of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abdymomunov.

He staged the play “Zhaabars” (according to Ch. Aitmatov) in the youth theater “Uchur”.

The last period of life was headed by the Kyrgyz State Youth Theater named after B. Kydykeeva . Performances of this period staged by A. Sarlykbekov were awarded the Grand Prix of republican and international theater festivals.

In the 2000s He also advised performances in theaters of Kyrgyzstan [2] .

The name of A. Sarlykbekov was given to the club in the village of Tyulek, Chui Oblast [7] .
