Biography
Born in a teacher’s family. In 1949 he graduated from the Ivanovo Special Air Force School No. 3 and was sent to the Chuguev Aviation School, but soon left the service for health reasons. Member of the CPSU (b) ( CPSU ) since 1951 .
He graduated from the Ivanovo Pedagogical Institute and received a distribution in the Krasnodar Territory (1954). He worked as a teacher of history and political economy in the Ascension College, and then as the head of the propaganda and agitation department of the Labinsk RK CPSU. In 1960-1963 he studied at the graduate school of Novosibirsk State University (NSU), in 1964 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in philosophy, devoted to the comprehension and development of theoretical problems of “personal freedom”. In those same years he worked at NSU as an assistant, senior teacher, scientific secretary; taught philosophy and scientific communism . In June 1965 he was elected secretary of the Soviet Republic of the CPSU of the city of Novosibirsk (Akademgorodok), later - second secretary, first secretary (1968-1976). In 1976-1978 - Head of the Department of Science and Educational Institutions of the Novosibirsk Regional Committee of the CPSU, in 1978-1983 - Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Educational Institutions of the Central Committee of the CPSU . Doctoral dissertation - “The formation of the scientist’s personality in the conditions of socialism” (1978). Professor , then rector of the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU (1983-1991). He was elected a deputy of the Regional Council of People's Deputies , a delegate to the XXV — XXVII Congresses of the CPSU. Member of the Central Auditing Commission of the CPSU (1986-1990).
Since 1991, he worked at the Institute for Social and Political Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (leading researcher, chief researcher, head of sector of the Department of Sociology of National Security and Federalism, scientific director of the Center for National Security). In recent years, he has been a professor at Moscow State Social University and a chief scientific consultant at ANPI .
Full member of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Russian Federation . President of the All-Russian Scientific Society of Sociologists and Demographers (chairman of the literature section on philosophy, sociology, psychology, law, economics and international relations). Chairman of the editorial boards of the magazines Security of Eurasia (formerly the Journal of National, Collective and Personal Security) and Security & Eurasia , a member of the international editorial board of the journal Personality. The culture. Society . " He also worked in the editorial office of the scientific almanac of high humanitarian technologies “ NAVIGUT ”.
He was married, has a daughter.
Scientific Activities
He worked out the problems of military sociology, national security , macro-sociology of society, state and personality; questions of the development of a woman’s personality and its socio-political status . In early works, on the basis of the historical approach and class analysis, he traced the development of personal freedom, examining the dialectics of the concepts of "personal freedom" and "individual freedom." He also dealt with the origin and essence of consciousness, the ratio and level of development of ordinary and theoretical forms of their manifestation. He investigated the problems of humanizing scientific and technical progress , the interaction of science with production , the social and spiritual spheres of public life. Yanovsky linked the progress not only with the improvement of technology , but also with the economic , environmental , social, spiritual and moral orientation of man. In recent years, he sought to identify the origins of the humanization of social structures, explored the role and place of the scientific intelligentsia in the social structure of society.
Prepared over 40 candidates and 6 doctors of sciences.
