Biography

Born in Moscow. She entered the Moscow Choreographic School , where in the pre-graduation class she performed the pas de deux to the music of A. Adana . She graduated from college in the class of SN Golovkina in 1976. After graduating from college at the Bolshoi Theater (1976-1999). Teachers Mikhalchenko in the Bolshoi Theater - G. S. Ulanova and R. S. Struchkov .

On the plastic talent Mikhalchenko V.I. Uralskaya wrote: “Slender, all stretching upwards, with an exquisitely touching bend of the neck, a flexible refined line of the back, Alla is strict and restrained in the manner of gesture, glance, and, at the same time, always stands out for her unusual and outwardly impressive. "

The conductor of the Kirov (Mariinsky) Theater Y. Gamaley recalled about Giselle-Mikhalchenko:

... the most gratifying impression left by Alla Mikhalchenko in Giselle . She arrived on the day of the performance (1986), so the rehearsal was during the day in “half tone”. She did not make a single request, but I already realized through rehearsal that she was dancing perfectly true, nothing was crumpled up and was not stuck anywhere. The performance confirmed the impression of the rehearsal. The first thing I liked Mikhalchenko, was the performance of the movement "ballot" in the second half of Giselle's release. So, without haste, with a short fixation of poses with the ejection of legs, then forward, then back, we did not dance for a long time - twenty-five years. Thanks to this, Mikhalchenko’s entire output went at a single pace, which, according to the laws of the musical performance, was certainly competent. We have already for many years, as everyone began to hasten the movement of "ballot", which caused unjustified acceleration of the pace. And then everything was danced and played by Mikhalchenko in the best old traditions.
