Krzysztof Szydlowiecki ( Polish: Krzysztof Szydłowiecki ; 1467 , Szydlowiec - December 29, 1532 , Krakow ) - a statesman of the Kingdom of Poland , an outback coronary crown in 1507–1510, a Sandomierz chestnut from 1509, a sub-chancellor from 1511, an old chancellor , a chancellor Krakovsky from 1515, governor of Krakow from 1515-1527, Kastelian from Krakow from 1527. Biography
The son of Stanislav and Anna (from the Swan clan), brother of Nicholas . Grandfather of the first Nesvizh ordinate of Nicholas Christopher Radziwill .
He led the foreign policy of the Polish state during the reign of Sigismund I the Old . He was a supporter of the Habsburgs and the creation of the anti-Turkish league. He joined the Order of the Dragon and received from the emperor Maximilian I the coat of arms "Odrovong" and the title of count .
In 1515, together with Bishop Peter Tomitsky, he worked out an agreement with the Habsburgs, which led to the meeting of the three monarchs in Vienna that same year. He was a political opponent of Queen Bona . Initiator of a four-year truce with Albrecht Hohenzollern , concluded on April 5, 1521.
In 1514, for the 10 thousand florins, he acquired the city of Opatow , where he was buried in the church of St. Martin . The sculptural tombstone of Krzysztof Szydlowiecki was made in the workshop of Bartolomeo Berecchi with the participation of Giovanni Cini and decorated with the famous bronze bas-relief .
Among other figures of his time depicted in the painting by Jan Matejko "Prussian homage" .
