Construction Description
The RPN 9S36 is intended for use in the Buk-M2 ZRK 9K317 firing section in conjunction with two 9A316 launchers, thus providing fire on up to 4 targets simultaneously in wooded and mountainous terrain with a relief height of up to 20 meters. Highlighting targets and targeting missiles are carried out at the expense of the antenna post, capable of being advanced to a height of 21 meters. The antenna is a phased array with an electronic scanner. The station can search for targets in the zone of ± 45 ° in azimuth and 70 ° in elevation , at a distance of up to 120 km. Accompanying the targets is performed in the sector of ± 60 ° in azimuth and from -5 to + 85 ° in elevation , including targets flying at low and ultra-low altitudes. The station is able to simultaneously detect up to 10 targets [1] .
Modifications
- The base model is placed on the track base, however there is a modification on the ChMZAP wheeled semi-trailer ( train 9001 ), for towing with a KrAZ truck. The mass of the semi-trailer is 30 tons [1] .
- At present, the option is offered on the MZKT wheeled chassis (models were displayed at various international exhibitions), but there is no information on prototypes.
