Gymnasium No. 1 is a municipal budgetary educational institution in the city of Salavat with profiling of senior classes in the socio-humanitarian and physical-mathematical fields, as well as with in-depth study of English from grades 1 to 11, the study of a second foreign language (French, German) from grade 5 studying computer science from grade 1.

School History
Gymnasium No. 1 (former school No. 6 [3] [4] ) was founded on 21.10. In 1954 , the Gymnasium team was headed at different times by: Goloshchapov E. A., Matveev V. M., Stepanenko E. I., Vasyutkina T. V., Khusnullina G. K., Tyutyunnik I. V., Davydova L. V .
From its very foundation, this gymnasium was the only educational institution in the city with in-depth study of foreign languages. Some subjects were also studied in a foreign language.
School today
The total number of school teachers is 58 people [2] . Of these, 3 people are part-time workers. 67% have the highest qualification category. They have honorary titles of 16%. The gymnasium is focused on in-depth study of subjects of the social and humanitarian cycle (history, social studies, Russian, literature, law, foreign languages) and the physical and mathematical direction (algebra, geometry, physics, chemistry, biology) [5] . The winners of the PNPO RF (priority national projects of the Russian Federation) are 4 people [6] .
The school has 750 students [2] . In 2011, student Alina Suleymanova won the final stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad in History [7] , student Albert Shaikhutdinov won the final stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad in Astronomy [8] . In 2013, students of Suleymanova Elina and Kiseleva Alena became winners of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren
Interesting Facts
In 2011, the public educational institution “Gymnasium No. 1”, according to the results of its work, was included in the national register “Leading educational institutions of Russia” [9] .
The school principal, L. V. Davydova, is the main developer of the program for developing the education system of the city of Salavat for 2008-2012. Since April 3, 2012, she was elected Chairman of the Council of the urban district of the city of Salavat of the Republic of Bashkortostan [10] .
