“Compassion for Madame Revenge” ( cor. 친절한 рус , Russian “Kind Lady Madam Kym Ja” ) is the South Korean crime drama directed and written by Pak Chan Uk , the final part of his “ trilogy for revenge ”, which also consists of the films “ Compassion for Mr. Revenge ” ( 2002) and Oldboy (2003). Winner of the Small Golden Lion Prize of the 2005 Venice Film Festival , as well as a number of other awards.

Content
Story
Nineteen-year-old Lee Kym Ja ( Lee Young-Yeh ) goes to jail on charges of kidnapping and killing young schoolboy Pak Won Moh. During the film, it becomes clear that the real killer is her roommate and accomplice Paek ( Choi Min Sik ): he is blackmailing the girl, threatening to kill her little daughter, in case she does not go to the police with a voluntary confession.
Lee is found guilty and sentenced to thirteen years in prison in 1991 . In prison, the girl gains authority with her courage and willingness to help, and receives the nickname "Kind Kym Ja."
After her release from prison, Lee's first desire was to achieve revenge, the plan of which she carefully nurtured for thirteen years.
The key phrase, both “Lord Revenge” and “Lady”:
Abductions are for good and evil, abductions for good - this is when you kidnap a child, and then safely return it to parents after it is all over.
