Story
After 1859, from the north to Kansas and further, to the very south of the country, carts of Yankees stretched, which took land from the southerners. The slogan of those days proclaimed: "Everything is in Kansas!"
Duty and honor. It is hard for others when these concepts are interpreted on the basis of personal beliefs, and even more so - personal benefits.
Clouds of civil war were gathering over America. It’s a sin not to take this opportunity and not to get rich. If you do not fight either for the North or for the South, what is the scope for solving your own material problems! Will Cantrell, a former teacher from Lawrence, Kansas, is building a gang of people like him who wants to get rich quick and begins the “season” of smuggling, selling slaves, robberies and murders.
Will's rival in love is Texan Bob Seaton (both of whom sought the favor of Mary MacLeod, daughter of a local banker) becomes his rival and being elected bailiff. Yes, Cantrell has already defeated Seaton once, taking Mary as his wife, but will he manage to become the best in the confrontation with the legalist?
