The First Basketball League (PBL) ( Premier Basketball League ) is a former American professional men's basketball league. The league ceased to exist after the 2017 season, the Basketball League (TBL) became the successor league .

History
The league was formed in January 2008. There were 10 teams in the league in the 2007/08 season, 30 in 2008/09, 9 in 2009/10, 8 in 2010/11 and 11 in 2011/12.
