Solarimeter sensor (photosensor)
A solarimeter is a meteorological device, a type of pyranometer that measures total solar radiation - the sum of direct and scattered solar radiation. Like pyranometers, solarimeters are built on the principle of using the thermoelectric effect . The horizontal receiving surface of the device is protected by a glass cap from the action of wind, precipitation, as well as long-wave radiation (with a wavelength longer than that of infrared radiation ). To account for both direct and scattered solar radiation, the sensors are not covered by any screens.
