Biography
Born in a teacher’s family. The childhood and youth of the future writer was held in Nizhny Novgorod . He worked at the Engine of the Revolution factory as a milling machine operator, inspector of the workers 'and peasants' inspection. He studied at the Moscow Architectural Institute (1932-1933). He worked as executive secretary of the newspaper "For the construction industry", an essayist of the newspaper "Lenin Smena", in the editorial office of the newspaper " Komsomolskaya Pravda ", head of the literature department of the magazine "Border Guard" (1941-1951).
He was buried at the Don cemetery in Moscow.
Creativity
The first essays, short stories and feuilletons of L. Linkov were published in 1930 in the Gorky regional Komsomol newspaper “Leninsky Smena”. In 1938, L. Linkov wrote the script for the feature film Sea Post. In 1940, the book of his short stories, The Pathfinder, was published. The historical and adventure story “ Captain of the Old Turtle” (1948), was repeatedly reprinted and in 1956 was filmed at the Odessa film studio.
