Egor Nikolayevich Sharon ( 1797 - 1869 ) - Russian engineer-major-general.
The son of a Polish royal adviser, he began serving as a conductor at the Main Engineering School and in 1817 was promoted to field warrant engineer. With the rank of lieutenant colonel, he was appointed to the Revel engineering team.
In 1838-1842, Sharon was under the jurisdiction of the commander of the Orenburg separate corps, in the cordon part; in 1842-1847 - Member of the Georgian District Engineering Department; then 15 months (1847-1848) was retired.
In 1848 he was again accepted into the service, with a secondment to the drawing of the Engineering Department of the War Ministry and in October 1848 he was appointed a member of this department. In 1849 he was promoted to colonel.
In January 1854, he was appointed head of the drawing engineering department. In January 1859, he was appointed commander of the Moscow Engineering District and held this position until April 21, 1861, when he was promoted to major general and in August was appointed a member of the General Presence of the Department of Engineering for the artificial part. To transform the headquarters of the inspector general into the Main Engineering Directorate, E. N. Sharon was appointed, in January 1863, as a member of the technical committee.
